AL WILKINSON Died Monday

Alvie E. Wilkinson of Winterset died this Monday, March 18, 1966, at Memorial hospital here, after an extended illness. He was 62 years of age, and had been in failing health for several years.

Mr. Wilkinson was born in Madison county March 5, 1906, a son of Oscar and Julia Martino Wilkinson. He attended the Winterset schools and at Winterset High school was an outstanding athlete in football and track.

He was married Sept. 9, 1930, at New Prague, Minn., to Laura J. Gosewisch, who survives him.

In addition to his wife, he leaves four children, Mrs. Joanne Benson of Winterset, Hubert Wilkinson of Winterset, Herbert Wilkinson of Ankeny, and Mrs. Sharon Rose Stark of Salem, Ark.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Mary Ann Brooker of Fullerton, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Whisler of Winterset and Mrs. Pearl Sherard of Cudahy, Calif.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Wilson Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Richard L. Jones of Winterset. Burial was to be made in the Winterset cemetery.
