Jerry K. Fenimore, 75, of Fountain Valley, Calif., died of a heart ailment Nov. 18, 1999.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30 at Calvary Baptist Church in St. Charles. Burial of the cremains was in California.
Jerry Fenimore was born June 30, 1924 to Grover and Rae (Hoover) Fenimore of Peru. He spent his childhood in the Peru area, graduating from Peru High School. He later moved to Des Moines, residing there until 1953, when he moved with his family to Phoenix, Ariz. He later moved to the West Coast. He retired from Farmer Insurance Company as an insurance adjuster. Jerry was a veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theatre.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Gail; two sons, Bruce Fenimore of Des Moines and Brad Fenimore of Osceola; four daughters, Dorene Bonwell of Des Moines, Margaret Honnold of Casey, Ill., Angie Bonk of Las Vegas, Nev., and Toni Fenimore of California; two sisters, Jean Porter of St. Charles and Susan Hagen of Texas; two brothers, Paul Fenimore of Washington state and Bill Fenimore of Chicago, Ill.; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
