SERVICES HELD FOR A. A. FAUST

Well-Known St. Charles Resident Died March 16 Aged 77 Years

Arthur A. Faust, a life-long resident of the St. Charles community, died Thursday, March 16, at a Des Moines hospital. He was 77 years of age.

Mr. Faust was born in Warren county, near St. Charles, on Oct. 25, 1883, a son of Charles W. and Isabelle Faust.

As a young man he engaged in farming. In 1928 he went to work as a road maintenance man for Madison county, continuing in that work until 1942. After that he served as a custodian for the St. Charles Consolidated school until his retirement in 1954.

He was married Nov. 23, 1905 to Eva Mae Peffley, who survives him. He also leaves four sons, Fon Faust of Marshalltown, Forest Faust of St. Charles, Dean Faust of Des Moines and Charles Faust of Boone; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Thompson of St. Charles, Mrs. Chloe Romback of Indianola and Ella Faust of St. Charles; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the St. Charles Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. William Trembly. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
