ELMER A. FARVER DIED SATURDAY

Funeral Services on Tuesday With Burial at Prairie City

Elmer A. Farver of Winterset, retired farmer and formerly a maintenance employee of the Iowa Highway commission here, died Saturday, July 7, at Memorial hospital here. He was 71 years of age.

Mr. Farver was born at Nelson, Nebr. on Oct. 11, 1890, a son of Lafayette and Susan Litzenberg Farver. He had lived in Madison County for the last 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, the former Mamie Hoffman, to whom he was married in 1956; two sons by a former marriage, Robert and Durward Farver of Fellsmer, Fla.; nine grandchildren; a brother, Allen Farver of Nelson, Nebr.; and a sister, Mrs. Izetta Adrian of Sheldon, Wisc.

Funeral services were held this Tuesday from the Collins Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Robert A. Owens, pastor of the First Christian church of Winterset. Burial was made in Waveland cemetery at Prairie City.

Here to Attend Services for Elmer Farer

Among those who were here from a distance Tuesday July 10th to attend funeral services for Elmer Farver were Mrs. Farver's son and wife, Mr. Nd Mrs. Merlin Carpenter and her daughter, Mrs. Elmer Anderson and daughters, all of Farmington, New Mexico, Mr. Farver's sister, Mrs. Izetta Adrian of Sheldon, Wisconsin.

Also Miss Reva Baughman of Sheldon, Wisconsin, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Reed and family of Clay Center, Nebraska and Mrs. Alma Young of Nelson, Nebraska.
