Leo R. Fairholm, 75, Pomona, Calif., Died at Doctor's Hospital at Montclair, Calif., on March 6.
He was born at Bridgewater, Iowa, Jan. 9, 1913 and was the son of Harry and Marguerite Fairholm. He spent his early childhood and schooling in Madison county on a farm east of Winterset. He moved to California in 1948. He was a former thoroughbred race horse jockey and was a retired poultry inspector. He served in the Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son. He is survived by his wife, Margaret of Pomona; a son, Ronald of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Joy Lauer of Dexter; brothers, Dale of Minneapolis, Minn., and Bill of New Fairfield, Conn.; two stepsons; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. No services were held. The Neptune Society was in charge of cremation.
