Audrey J. "Buck" Estell, Waterloo

Services for Audrey J. "Buck" Estell, 70, Waterloo, were held Thursday, Feb. 4, at the Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

He died Feb. 1 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. He lived all his school years in Winterset and was a WHS graduate in 1937.

He was born May 25, 1917 in Menlo, son of Percy and Grace Beaman Estell. He married Mary Bradfield on Jan. 19, 1963 in Preston, Minn.

He was the former owner-manager of Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Keokuk, retiring in 1981. He served in the U. S. Air Force during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Darrell Estell of Omaha, Neb., Jim Estell of Des Moines and Michael Oren of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Marilyn Baker of Phoenix; a brother, Floyd of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Wanda Kraetzer of Sedona, Ariz.; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant son and a sister and parents.
