Wednesday, February 25, 1953HARRY WILSON Dies
Harry Wilson, former Winterset resident, who has resided in Des Moines, the past thirty years, died at the Veterans hospital there, last Thursday night, after a three weeks' illness with pneumonia.
Mr. Wilson who was 78 years of age, was in the Produce business in Winterset for a number of years. During recent years he was a custodian at the State House in Des Moines.
His wife, who was the former Stella Mills of Winterset, died in 1946. Since then he has resided with a niece, Mrs. Mardice Jones and her mother, Mrs. Wilson in Des Moines.
He is survived by his one son, Albert Wilson, of Lubbock, Texas, and his two children, Jimmy Lou aged 14, and Alan, aged 10.
Funeral services were held at the Lily Funeral home, Saturday, February 21st, 1953, at 1:30 p.m. and burial was in the Spanish war veterans plot in the Glendale cemetery.

Services for Harry Bert Wilson, 77, of 2915 Center st., who died of pneumonia Wednesday at Veterans hospital, will be a 1:30 p. m. Saturday at the Joseph Lilly funeral home. Burial will be in the Spanish-American War plot at Glendale cemetery. Mr. Wilson had been ill a week.
A native of Greenfield, Mr. Wilson, a night watchman at the statehouse, had lived in Des Moines 24 years. He previously lived at Winterset where he was a member of the Evening Star Masonic lodge. He also was a member of the Methodist church.
His sole survivor is a son, James Albert of Lubbock, Tex.
