Mrs. A. T. Rees died at her home in the west part of town on Monday, April 4, 1904, the result of a short illness from a complication of kidney trouble and heart disease. The Rees home was one of the happiest in the city and her death causes universal sorrow and sympathy for the bereaved husband and motherless children. She had not been in the best of health for several months, but was not considered dangerously ill until within an hour of her death.

Mary Rees was the daughter of J. R. and Margaret Davis and was born in this county Nov. 16, 1870. Her death occurred on the fifteenth marriage anniversary.

The home circle broken by her death consists of her husband and three children, Hazel aged 13, Edna aged 11 and little Albert 8 months old.

Mrs. Rees was a woman of estimable character, was greatly devoted to her home and family and was generally belowed by her acquaintances. The funeral services were held from the home yesterday afternoon conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. H. White of the United Presbyterian church.
