ACIE ANDREW WILSON, Winterset

Memorial services for Acie Andrew Wilson, 71, Winterset, who died July 20, 1983, at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines, were held on Friday, July 22 at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Bush, Rev. Kenneth Helmers and the Rev. Dan Berry officiating. The body was cremated and interment was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born Nov. 25, 1911 at Putman County, Mo., he was the son of Felix and Daisy Arminta Anderson Wilson. He was a self-employed welder and a veteran of the Army.

Mr. Wilson married Ellen Lorraine Purscell March 1, 1952 in Des Moines. He was a self-emloyed welder, a member of the Baptist church and the VFW. He was a resident of Winterset for 24 years.

Survivors include his wife, a brother, Harold Wilson of Rockford, Ill.; sisters, Violet McGinnis and Marie Davis, both of Unionville, Mo., a grandchild and a great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter and a brother.
