Aletha A. Dvorak, Ankeny

Funeral services for Aletha A. Dvorak, 84, were held in Ankeny December 11 with interment in the Winterset Cemetery. She died Sat. Dec. 8 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines of a heart ailment.

Born March 30, 1906 in Gallatin, Mo., she was the daughter of Claude and Oris Alexander. She grew up in Winterset and graduated from Winterset High School. She worked for the law firm of Percival and Wilkinson in Winterset for many years and was a 50-year member of Winterset Rebekah Lodge. She and her husband, Larry, celebrated their 54th anniversary this year. They lived in Kansas City before moving to Ankeny seven years ago.

Preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Larry; four sister, Gladys Nelson of Huxley, Emily Finney-Patrick of Topeka, Kan., Laura McCammond of Manitowoc, Wisc. and Betty Jean Meyers of West Des Moines; a brother, Claude Alexander of Aitkin, Minn.; and 15 nieces and nephews.
