Bernice Dudney, Winterset

Services for A. Bernice Dudney, 92, rural Winterset, who died July 31 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital were held Monday, Aug. 3, at the Kale Funeral Home in Truro with the Rev. Jim Patrick of Indianola officiating. Burial was at the Peru Cemetery.

Born in Madison County near Peru on Dec. 12, 1894, she was the daughter of Jack and Sadie Berry Seward. She attended Madison county schools and married to Loyd C. Dudney in Winterset on Feb. 7, 1917. She spent most of her life as a housewife.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Lyle Dudney and wife Helen of Lorimor; daughters, Vera Towne of Des Moines, Velda Bedwell of St. Charles and Nola Robbins and husband Max of Yuma, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and a great- great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, two sons-in-law, two brothers, and three great-grandchildren.
