Earl Driscoll, Winterset

Earl William Driscoll of Winterset died Friday, Aug. 21, at the Madison County Memorial Hospital at the age of 69.

Son of Carl Henry and Margaret Elizabeth Smith Driscoll, he was born July 30, 1912 in Madison County.

On Oct. 7, 1937, he married Frances Klinehan in Des Moines. Mr. Driscoll was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church and a nine-year member of the U.S. Power Squadron.

He was employed by Griffith Oil Company in petroleum sales and distribution.

Survivors include his wife Frances, two brothers Charles C. of Winterset and John E. of Sheridan, Wyo.; and one sister M. Kathryn Bell of Winterset.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.

A rosary and wake service was held Sunday evening, Aug. 23, at the Collins Funeral Home with funeral services held Monday morning at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Monsignor Paul Connelly and Sister Jo Anne Talarico officiated. Burial was made at Winterset Cemetery.
