Mary Ann Downs, rural St. Charles

Services for Mary Ann Downs, 50, rural St. Charles, who died June 1 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center, were held Monday, June 5, at the St. Charles Parish Church with the Rev. Tom Webster and the Rev. Doug Helton of St. Charles officiating. Burial was at the St. Charles Cemetery.

Born on March 13, 1939, she was the daughter of Dale and Margaret Eivins Orr. She attended St. Charles schools and graduated from the St. Charles High School in 1957.

On May 4, 1958, she was married to David Downs at St. Charles.

Mrs. Downs was a school bus driver and a cake decorator. She had lived in the St. Charles area since 1950 and was a member of C.W.F. women's organization at St. Charles Parish Church.

Survivors include her husband; daughters, Debra Sue Williams and husband David of Des Moines; and Lori Kay Downs of Des Moines; sons, Larry Dale Downs and wife Lori Kay of Des Moines, and Randy Wayne Downs of St. Charles; a grandson, David William II of Des Moines; her parents, Dale and Margaret Orr of St. Charles; and a sister, Barbara Daniels and husband Claude of St. Charles.
