Warren Dorrell, Winterset

Warren "Due" Dorrell, 81, Winterset, who died Dec. 8 at the Winterset Care Center North, will be held Thursday, Dec. 11, at 10:30 a.m. at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. William Jacobs officiating. Burial will be at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born in Madison County on Oct. 31, 1905, he was the son of Gold S. and Bertha Gordon Dorrell. He married Lucinda Crawford on Oct. 13, 1943 at Bethany, Mo.

Mr. Dorrell was a retired maintenance worker for the city of Winterset and was a lifetime resident of Madison County.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Warren Rex Dorrell of Winterset; daughters, Margaret Binns of Winterset and Berniece Hansen of Iowa City; brothers, Nicholas and Ronald, both of Winterset, and Woodrow of Bakersfield, Calif.; sisters, Beatrice Bradshaw of Winterset and Betty O'Neal of Whittier, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
