Funeral services for Martha Witham, 85, will be held Fr., Jan. 17 at 1:30 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home in Adel. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Mrs. Witham died January 12, 1992, at Adel Acres Care Center of cancer.

She was born April 21, 1906 near Panora to Hans and Florence Bonker, and married Charles Witham in 1939 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She moved to Waukee seven years ago after living in Adel and Winterset. She was a homemaker, a former teacher, and a member of Oak Grove Evangelical United Brethren Church, Winterset, and Adel Garden Club.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, two brothers and four sisters.

Surviving are a daughter, Shirlee Wolfe of Waukee; two sons, Kenneth of Chehalis, Wash., and Wallace of Phoenix, Ariz., ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
