Lyle Donham, Winterset

Lyle Gilford Donham, 87, of Winterset died of multiple organ system failure June 20, 2002, at his home.

Graveside services were held Monday, June 24, at Winterset Cemetery with Pastor Robert Barrick officiating.

Lyle Donham was born April 29, 1915 in Boone County to Morgan S. and Jennie (Weston) Donham. On May 11, 1937, he married Albena Ochsner in Cedar Falls. A resident of Winterset for the past 60 years, Lyle had farmed and been a furnace maintenance man. He also had been a machine operator for Penn-Dixie Quarry for over 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a son.

He is survived by a daughter, Dixie Donham of Winterset; a son, Gary Donham of Macksburg; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Funeral arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset.
