MORTUARY - Elva May Cleveland

Elva May Cleveland, daughter of A. E. and Jane Cleveland, was born in East Milton, Rock County, Wisconsin on May 12, 1874. She died at her home in Jefferson township, Madison county, Iowa on October 25, 1932, aged 58 years, 5 months and 13 days.

She came to Iowa with her parents when two years of age and has lived in Madison county ever since. She was a child of loving disposition. In womanhood her sunny nature won her many friends.

She leaves behind her aged father and mother, two brothers Sidney of Van Meter and Roy with whom she made her home, and a half-sister, Mrs. Allie Hoffstet of Burns, Montana. Two nieces also and five nephews and a host of friends.

To her aged mother who misses her sorely and to all her friends we extend our heartfelt sympathy.

The funeral services were held at the Tidrick funeral home Thursday afternoon conducted by the Reverend W. C. Porter. Mrs. Porter and Mrs. Owen DeMar sang three duets. Mrs. John F. Veltman was at the piano. B. A. McGinn, Everett Hendricks, Fred Allen, L. R. Caudle, Earnest Preston and Floyd Gray were the pallbearers. Burial was made in the MacDonald (McDonald) cemetery (cemetery) in Jefferson township.
