Perry Services For Former Resident

Funeral services were held from the Timeon Funeral Home in Perry April 4th for Clarence (Clair) Dick, a former Madison County resident. Pastor Bernie Payne officiated at the services with burial in the Violet Hill cemetery in Perry. Mr. Dick died at the Mercy Hospital in Des Moines April 1st after a long illness.

He was born in Madison County November 25, 1897 the son of Frank and Della Iiams Dick. He attended the Winterset schools and lived here until after his marriage to Jewel Waltz June 31, 1919. They moved from Winterset to Nebraska and California moving to Perry in 1950 where they had since made their home. Mr. Dick was employed in construction work until he retired.

He is survived by his wife, three sons, Richard, Earnest and Clarence Jr. and two daughters, Mrs. Victor Frederick and Mrs. Lucille Christenson, a sister Mrs. Frank Jessup of Winterset and three brothers Miles of Burlington and Stanley and Earl of Winterset. He was preceded in death by two daughters.
