Page 8MORTUARY - Hazel Gertrude Rickets
Hazel Gertrude Rickets, daughter of Jake and Rose Kirsch was born in Madison County near Peru, September 12, 1908, and departed this life September 30, 1931, at the Creston Hospital at the age of 23 years and 18 days, after an illness of less than two weeks.
On May 1, 1926 she was united in marriage to Fred Rickets. To this union were born two children, Raymond Eugene and Jake Edwin.
She was a faithful wife and a loving mother, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She leaves besides her husband and children, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Kirsch, four sisters, Mrs. Derry Emerson, Mrs. Elmer Decker of Peru, Nona and Darlene still at home, and two brothers, John and Everett at home, Wayne and Jack who preceded her in death, and her grandfather Elijah Hayden.
Rev. Glen Marshall and Rev. Sands conducted the funeral services at the Peru church October 2nd and interment was in the Peru cemetery.
