Hazel Deets, Winterset

Services for Hazel Deets, 73, Winterset, who died Aug. 12 at the Mercy Hospital Medical Center, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15 at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Morrow officiating. Burial will be at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born in Madison County Nov. 26, 1911, she was the daughter of Charles and Martha Putnam Husted. She married Noah Oglesbee Dec. 24, 1935. He died in 1944. She married Homer Deets April 25, 1970 at Winterset.

Mrs. Deets spent most of her life in Madison County and was a housekeeper and retired beauty operator in a nursing home. She was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Don Oglesbee of Frankton, Ind.; a stepson, Charles Deets of Lorimor; three daughters, Nola Stephens of Albuquerque, N.M.; Evelyn Deets of Lorimor and Louis Klingveil of Estherville; step-daughters, Amy Wright of California and Mary Brower of Kiron, Iowa; a sister, Helen Foreman of Winterset; 21 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
