Amy Lorene Standing, 95, of Earlham died of a heart ailment Friday, March 12, 1999, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. A memorial service is planned for Sunday, March 21, at 11 a.m. at Bear Creek Meeting House near Earlham; the body was donated to science.

Mrs. Standing was born in Whittier, and resided there and in Iowa City before moving to Earlham 10 years ago. She was a retired dietary specialist at Oakdale Sanatorium and a member of Earlham Sunshine Circle and Bear Creek Friends.

Survivors include two sons, Wilden of Springfield, Mass., and Ellis of Earlham; one daughter, Alberta Kisling of Earlham; four sisters, Irma Hampton of Fairhope, Ala., Hazel Scorpil of Cedar Rapids, Wilma Leonardo of Tucson, Ariz., and Clyda Carpenter of Anamosa; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
