EDNA A. DEETS DIED HERE SUNDAY

Death Occurred at Home of Daughter in Jefferson Township

Mrs. Homer Deets of Winterset died Sunday, June 18, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary C. Gaa in Jefferson township. She was 60 years of age.

Mrs. Deets was a life-time resident of Madison county, except for a few years spent in Nebraska. She was the former Edna Anna Evison, daughter of E. T. and Mary Hurley Evison. She was born in Madison county Dec. 12, 1906.

She was a member of the Worthington church.

She was married to Homer Deets at the Methodist church in Winterset on Nov. 3, 1926.

Surviving are her husband; a son, Charles Deets of Madison county, two daughters, Mrs. Anna M. Schneider of San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Mary C. Gaa of Van Meter; 15 grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Evison of Palo Alto, Calif., and William Evison of Truro; and three sisters, Mrs. Etta Bailey and Mrs. Marie Smith of Winterset and Mrs. Merle McMichael of Truro.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Everett K. Burham, pastor of the First Methodist church here. Burial was to be made in the Winterset cemetery.
