Services for Rosey M. Davis, 71, Fontanelle, who died April 27 at Adair County Memorial Hospital, Greenfield, were held Monday, April 30 at the First Christian Church, Winterset, with the Rev. Jerry Zanker officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.
Born in Madison County on Feb. 3, 1913, she was the daughter of James Albert and Viola Clement Harrison. She spent her lifetime in Madison County except for the past two months at Fontanelle. She had at one time taught country school, worked with the hot lunch program at the high school and was a cashier at Montross Pharmacy.
On Sept. 9, 1957, she married Lyle R. Davis in New Mexico. She was earlier married to William C. Damsgaard, who died in 1953. Mrs. Davis was a member of the First Christian Church and the CWF at the church.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Shirley (Mrs. Ronald) Baudler of Fontanelle; sisters, Lillian Pettit of Creston and Daisy Mapes and Isadora Mabbitt, both of Winterset; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a stepson, brother, and two sisters.
