Page 1Former Residents Are Buried At Blair Chapel
Bevington Special, November 10.
The mortal remains of two former residents of this village were laid in their last resting place in Blair cemetery Monday.
Mary Couch, wife of Samuel Turk, died in Clarinda last Friday where she has been since her husband died a little over a year ago. She was the daughter of Joseph Couch and lived here forty years ago. Since her marriage her home has been in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held at the church of Visitation in Des Moines at 9 a.m. and the body was laid beside her husband in Blair cemetery. A son and a daughter survive her.
Mrs. John G. Huglin died in Des Moines last Saturday at the age of 86 years. She had been confined to a wheel chair the past several years. The body was brought to Martensdale Monday where services were conducted by the Rev. Krebs, pastor at the Lutheran church, of which she was a faithful member. Her sole survivor is her husband. A son fifteen years of age and five infants preceded her in death and beside whom she was laid in Blair cemetery.
