Mrs. Cora B. Danielson, 66, of Truro, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, at the Floyd county hospital in Charles City. She was the widow of Richard E. Danielson, whose death occurred nine months ago.
Mrs. Danielson had been a resident of Madison county for 18 years. She was born in Dallas county Aug. 26, 1898, a daughter of Leo L. and Euphemia Morse.
She was a graduate of Earlham High school and attended Des Moines university, after which she taught in the rural schools of Dallas county for 13 years.
As a young woman she was married to Claude Longmire whose death occurred in 1927. She was married to Mr. Danielson in 1930. They lived in Wisconsin and northern Iowa, before coming to Truro in 1947. There she was employed at the Truro Farm Equipment company for 15 years.
She was a member of the Methodist church, in which she was active in Sunday School and church society. She served as secretary for 15 years, and was a worthy matron of the Truro chapter, Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Euphemia Morse of Rockford; four sisters, Mrs. Edna Inm---of Rockford, Mrs. Florence ---ugham of Fertile, Mrs. Lydia Russel of Des Moines and Mrs. Harriett Dorman of Truro; and two brothers, O. E. Morse of Thornton and Alvin Morse of Charles City.
Funeral services were held last Thursday from the Truro Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. James Nicholson. Burial was made in the Young cemetery.
