Charles Dabney, Libertyville

Charles O. Dabney, 82, of Libertyville, died Sept. 28, 1996 at the Condell Medical Center. Funeral and interment services will be held Oct. 19, 1996 at 3 p.m. at the Winterset Cemetery.

He was born in Winterset on May 30, 1914 to Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord Dabney of Winterset. He was a graduate of Winterset High School as well as the University of Iowa with a major in Speech and Journalism. After college, he was employed by "The Lone Ranger Inc." in charge of promotion throughout the state of Texas. He then became an Account Executive with the Columbia Broadcasting System in Chicago, Ill. He founded and became the president of the North American Association in Chicago, a national real estate brokerage company. Later, he became associated with Dabney-Pawish Realty in Lake Forest. He was a life long member of the Masonic lodge.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, and five sisters.

Surviving relatives include his children, Dana, David and Deborah, all of Libertyville; one sister, Alice Dabney Foster of New Port Richey, Fla.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
