Vera Cummins, Lenox

Thelma Vera Cummins, 88, died Jan. 18, 2005, at the Lenox Care Center.

Graveside services were held Saturday, Jan. 22, at Winterset Cemetery with Pastor Tim Maxa officiating.

Vera Cummins was born March 8, 1916 to Alfred and Leanora (Ross) Hain of Belmont. On July 4, 1935, she married Guy Wayne Cummins in Bethany, Mo. A homemaker, Vera spent most of her married life in the Winterset and Lorimor areas.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, Albert Hain; a sister, Marie Morris; and one great-grandchild.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth W. Cummins of Gilbert, Ariz., and Ted L. Cummins of Clive; one daughter, Beverly J. Brown of Lenox; and seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Lenox Care Center.

Arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset.
