V. N. CREGER WAS 77 YEARS OF AGE

The death of V. N. Creger, long-time resident of Truro, whose death there Nov. 18 was reported here last week, occurred at the Hall Nursing home at the age of 77 years. He had been in rapidly failing health since last April.

Mr. Creger was born in Madison county June 11, 1873, a son of Joseph and Elizabeth Creger. Most of his life was spent in and around Truro. He was a member of the Truro Christian church.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Arthur D. Creger of West Des Moines, Harold G. Creger of Ft. Dodge and Wilbur D. Creger of Des Moines; two daughters, Mrs. Anna Jeter of Iowa City and Freda of Des Moines; and two brothers, Ora E. Creger of Truro and Walter P. Creger of Monroe. He also leaves seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

V. H. CREGER DIED LAST SATURDAY; SERVICES HELD TUESDAY

V. H. Creger, life-long resident of this community died Saturday evening at the Hall nursing home where he had been the past ten days. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Kale funeral home conducted by the Rev. Verne Willey with interment in the Young cemetery.

V. H. Creger Rites Tuesday in Truro

Word has been received here of the death of Verden H. Creger, 77, of Truro, Saturday at Hall’s Nursing home there. Services will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday at Kale funeral home in Truro, with burial in Truro cemetery.

Surviving are his widow, Ona: two daughters, Freda of Des Moines and Mrs. Anna Jeter of Iowa City; three sons, Harold of Fort Dodge, and Arthur and Wilbur, both of Des Moines; two brothers Ora of Truro, and Walter of Monroe; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
