Ruth Walters Crawford, Galva

Services for Ruth Walters Crawford, 84, former Earlham resident, were held at the Earlham Cemetery Dec. 10, following services at Harlan. She died Dec. 7 at a hospital near Galva, Iowa, where she made her residence.

She was born June 28, 1904 and attended public school in Galva. She graduated from Drake University and was a teacher in the Aurelia High School and principal in the Truro schools.

On June 14, 1932, she was married to Jacob I. Crawford of Earlham and the couple lived there a short time on a farm south of Earlham before moving to Galva, and later to Harlan. He died Feb. 22, 1977.

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Donna and Harold Baker of Lincoln, Neb., and Betty and Kenneth Wells of Escondido, Calif.
