DONALD COX DIES AT AGE OF 36 YEARS

Donald J. Cox, formerly of Winterset, died at the home of friends near Indianola Feb. 15, of a sudden heart attack. He was 36 years of age.

Mr. Cox was born in Madison county Sept. 3, 1929, a son of Sylvanus and Susie Cox. His early life was spent here, later attending school in Des Moines and Nevada. In recent years he had engaged in farming near Indianola.

He and his family had moved to Chillicothe, Mo., a week prior to his death. He had returned to Iowa to attend to matters of business when stricken.

Surviving are his wife and six children; his mother, Mrs. Susie Cox of Chillicothe; and a brother, Burton Dale Cox of Kansas City.

Funeral services were held Feb. 18 from the Lindley Funeral Home in Chilicothe, with burial there. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bruns, Mrs. Beulah Howard and Al Jones of Winterset attended the services.
