MORTUARY

William Palmer Belden

William Palmer Belden, son of Lewis and Jane Belden, was born November 18, 1867, in DeKalb County, Illinois. He came to Iowa with his parents when eight years of age and resided in Jefferson township the remainder of his life with the exception of fifteen years when he lived in Nebraska.

He went home to meet his God May 15, 1931, aged 63 years, five months and twenty-eight days. He leaves to mourn his death, an aged mother, one sister, Mrs. Owen Huffstot, of Montana, two half-brothers, Roy and Sidney Cleveland, and one half-sister, Elva Cleveland.

He was honest and industrious. Years ago he confessed Christ and united with the church and while he has not been active in church work for sometime, he has lived a good upright life, and he will be greatly missed in the home and by his many friends.

The funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon, May 17th, at Tidrick’s funeral home, Reverend E. A. Elliott of Van Meter, conducting the services. Interment was made in the McDonald cemetery.
