Lawrence Couch, Winterset

Services for Lawrence "Larry" Couch, 77, Winterset, who died Sept. 4 at the Care Center North where he resided, were held Sept. 6 at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Eldon Cole officiating. Burial was at the Earlham Cemetery.

Born July 18, 1909 at Springfield, Ark., he was the son of James and Clara Gibson Couch. He was a retired station attendant at the Smith Oil Co. in Winterset.

Mr. Couch had lived in Winterset since 1960, coming from California. He had served as a security guard of Pardecooper Security System of Des Moines. He married Marie Pinegar in 1946.

Survivors include a brother, Don Reese of Aurora, Colo., and a sister, Mrs. Ethel Harmon of Earlham.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
