GEORGE COOPER OF DES MOINES DIES

George R. Cooper of Des Moines died Wednesday, May 28, at Veterans hospital in Des Moines. He was 68 years of age.

Mr. Cooper was born at Winterset Oct. 31, 1900, a son of William and Lucy Shepard Cooper. For the last 25 years he had lived in Des Moines, where he was employed by the Mars Oil company.

He is survived by his wife, the former Wilma Benge. He also leaves two sons, George Cooper, Jr. and Bernard Cooper, both of Kewanee, Ill.; four grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Rose Thompson of Dunlap.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Wilson Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Walter A. Samp of Winterset. Burial was made in Union Chapel cemetery.
