MRS. CHARLES COOPER OF WINTERSET DIES

Mrs. Charles W. Cooper a resident of Madison county for most of her life, died Friday, Jan. 3, at her home west of Winterset. She was 70 years of age.

Mrs. Cooper was a native of Henry county, where she was born Oct. 22, 1893. She was the former Margaret Cumings, daughter of David and Nancy McKee Cumings.

She was married Dec. 24, 1914, to Charles W. Cooper at Winterset.

Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Foursquare church.

In addition to her husband, she leaves a son, LeRoy Cooper at home; a daughter, Mrs. John Post of Van Meter; six grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Cumings of St. Charles and Rollie Cumings of Prole; and a sister, Mrs. Nevin Landers of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Wilson Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Charles Updike, pastor of the Winterset Foursquare church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
