Walter S. Cook, Earlham

Services for Walter S. Cook, 90, Earlham, who died Nov. 12 at the Community Care Center at Stuart, were held Tuesday, Nov. 15 at the Bear Creek Friends Church with the Rev. Wayne Anson officiating. Burial was at Bear Creek Cemetery, Earlham.

Born Mar. 9, 1893, he was the son of William and Emma Cook of rural Earlham. Mr. Cook graduated from the Earlham Academy and taught in a rural school for two years. On June 24, 1914, he was married to Leah Stanley. He was a birthright member of the Bear Creek Friends Church and was engaged in farming before retirement.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Marie Atherton and Helen Neal of Dexter and Velma Barnett of Earlham; sons, Carroll Cook of Sherman Oaks, Calif., and Wayne Cook of Stuart; a sister, Mabel Mowell of Whittier, Calif.; 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, four brothers, a granddaughter and one great grandson.
