Joshua Ray Cook, 18, of Winterset died Aug. 12, 2001 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 16, at the First Christian Church in Winterset with Dr. Bobby Dickerson officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m. Wednesday Aug. 15, at the church where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be at Winterset Cemetery.

Josh Cook was born Oct. 31, 1982 in Winterset to Patrick and Barbi (Young) Cook. A lifelong area resident, he was a 2001 graduate of East Union High School. Josh worked with his father at Cook Ag Service and Repair doing custom applications, welding and baling.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Fern Nuzum.

He is survived by his parents, Patrick and Raye DeLynne Cook of Winterset and Barbi Young Holtry of Lorimor; a brother, Gregory Cook of Winterset; two sisters Jessica Crenshaw of Lorimor and Tiffanie Siebels of Winterset; grandparents, Don and Barb Young, LaVere and Janice Cook and Raymond Nuzum, all of Winterset; great-grandparents, Leon "Shorty" Thompson and Winona Fuller, both of Earlham and Vera Young of Winterset; and girlfriend, Krystal Jackson of Winterset.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the First Christian Church in Winterset.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset.
