Rebecca Conklin, Winterset

Services for Rebecca Conklin, 85, Winterset, who died April 29 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, Des Moines, were held Wednesday morning, May 2 at the First Christian Church in Winterset with the Rev. Jerry Zanker officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born at Bevington on May 29, 1898, she was the daughter of Alexander and Rebecca Montgomery McCauley.

She lived here most of her life and was a member of the First Christian Church. She married Glen Conklin Oct. 7, 1968 in Winterset. She was a cook in restaurants and did housekeeping.

Survivors include a son, Jack of Fremont, Calif.; four step grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Conklin was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and five sisters.
