Wednesday, June 1, 1960MRS. GERTRUDE COMP FUNERAL THURSDAY
Mrs. Gertrude Comp, a resident of Madison county for most of her life, died Monday, May 30, at Des Moines. She was 77 years of age.
Mrs. Comp was a native of Danvers, Ill., where she was born Nov. 3, 1882, a daughter of John and Mary Forbes Webb. As a young woman she was married to Walter J. Comp. His death occurred 16 years ago.
She moved from this community 18 years ago. She was a member of Westminister United Presbyterian church in Des Moines.
She is survived by a son, Raymond Comp of Gladbrook; a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Hartsook of Des Moines; six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Eva Cook of Chula, Mo.; and three brothers, John and Earl Webb of Danvers and Ed Webb of Center View, Mo.
The body will arrive here from Des Moines at 9:30 a.m. this Thursday and will be at the Richards Funeral home, where the services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
