M. E. COLTRANE OF ST. CHARLES DIES

Death Occurs After Long Illness; At Age of 72 Years

M. Earl Coltrane of St. Charles died Wednesday, Sept. 13. He was 72 years of age.

Mr. Coltrane was born at Thayer, on Nov. 14, 1888, but had lived near St. Charles for the last 21 years, engaging in farming. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Boone Coltrane.

He was married June 16, 1910, to Flossie M. Higgins, who survives him.

He was a member of the Methodist church, and was affiliated with the Masonic lodge, the Elks and Lions club.

In addition to his wife; he leaves a son, Eugene Coltrane of St. Charles; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Watson and Mrs. Maxine Martinello, both of Des Moines and a granddaughter.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the St. Charles Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. W. C. Trembly. Burial was made in Glendale cemetery at Des Moines.
