Ella J. McDonald, 87, died Wednesday, January 4, 1978, at Villa West Care Center in Winterset. She was born in Douglas township of Madison County on September 16, 1890, the daughter of Joseph and Teresa McAllister McDonald.
A retired schoolteacher, she was a lifetime county resident, affiliated with the Medthodist Church and a member of the WSCS.
Survivors include serveral nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services for Ella McDonald were conducted Saturday, Jan. 7, at 2 p.m. from Collins Funeral Home, Rev. Byron Ayers officiating.
Burial was made at the Chase-McDonald Cemetery.
