Christine Coghlan, Winterset

Services for Christine Coghlan, 69, Winterset who died Dec. 29 at her residence, were held Tuesday, Jan. 3 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Clarence and Rev. Zona Lautt officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born in Troop County, Ga. on August 21, 1919, she was the daughter of Roland and Rena Cooper Bennett. She was married to Marion L. Coghlan on Jan. 30, 1943 at Yakima, Wash.

A homemaker, Mrs. Coghlan was a resident here since 1944, coming from Washington state. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son, Terry Coghlan and wife Jill of Altoona; a brother, Herman Bennett of LaGrange, Ga.; sisters, Alice O'Neal and Precious Gladney, both of LaGrange and Kathryn Vickers of Lanett, Ala.; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son, a brother and two sisters.
