Death of Mrs. Clyde Addy

Mrs. Clyde Addy died at her home Thursday afternoon, November 5th at 4:20 o’clock. She has been in ill health for several years. Funeral services were held at the Jefferson church Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, conducted by Rev. W. C. Porter. Short services were held at the home at one o’clock. Burial was in the Jefferson cemetery.

Mrs. Addy was born in Madison county, October 1, 1863 and was 68 years of age at the time of her death. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Ira Walker, pioneers of Madison county. When a girl she resided in Lee township. After her marriage she and Mr. Addy lived for many years on a farm in Union township.

She is survived by her husband, a son Joy and a daughter Ruby. More details of her life may be found in the mortuary column.

Mrs. Clyde Addy

Lydia Elizabeth Walker was born October 1, 1863 in Jefferson township, Madison county. She died November 5 at the age of sixty-eight. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira C. Walker. Her marriage to Clyde Addy took place January 17, 1900. Two children were born to them, Mary Ruby and Joy Burton.

Mrs. Addy united with the United Brethren church of Jefferson during the ministry of the Rev. J. W. Cronk, later transferring her membership to the First Presbyterian Church of Winterset.

She had been ill the last seven years and confined to her home. She leaves besides her husband and two children, two sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Agnes Crumbaker and Mrs. L. A. Alexander, of Winterset; James A. Walker, of Aurilla, and Seth Walker, of Bevington. Those preceding her in death were a brother, W. F. Walker, and a sister, Mrs. A. B. Fletcher.

The burial was from the United Brethren church. The Rev. W. C. Porter of Winterset had charge of the services.
