OBITUARY

Ismay Irene Packard, daughter of Newell and Anna Packard, was born at Adel, Iowa, December 19th, 1882, and departed this life July 31, 1931, at her home in Hankinson, North Dakota.

In the early years of her life May united with the Presbyterian Church. She was a charter member of the order of the Eastern Star Lodge at Earlham. Her greatest aim in life was to help and to give to others, no matter what the results were to her.

In the year of 1904, she was united in marriage to Elvin Strong and to this union a daughter, Lucy Belle Strong was born. Again, in 1923 May was married to George E. Bergquist.

Besides the husband and daughter, she leaves to mourn her passing her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Newel Packard, of Earlham, two sisters, Mrs. Dale Mullins, of Winterset, and Mrs. Elmer Beck, of Des Moines, and one brother James Albert, of Los Angeles, Calif., and many relatives and friends.

Private funeral services were held at the Packard home Monday at 2:00 p.m. and interment was in Earlham Cemetery.
