Tamra Clements, Winterset

Tamra Shelton Clements, 56, of Winterset, died from complications of lupus Oct. 2, 2004, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) at Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset with the Rev. Dr. Bobby Dickerson officiating.

Tamra Clements was born Sept. 17, 1948 in Waterloo to Leonard and Lois (Dean) Carl. She grew up in Waterloo and then attended college and resided in Kansas City until 1985, when she moved to Winterset. On April 26, 2003, she married David Clements in Winterset. Tamra had been a homemaker and also bought and sold real estate. She was a member of the Birthday Club and the First United Methodist Church in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her father and one son, Michael "Skip" Shelton.

She is survived by her husband, David of Winterset; one daughter, Lisa Feller of Polk City; her mother, Lois Carl of Kansas City, Kan.; one stepdaughter, Roxann Lewis of North Carolina; one stepson, John Clements of Texas; three brothers, Allen Carl and David Carl, both of Kansas City, Kan., and Steve Carl of Ohio; and one grandson.
