Funeral Held Here Tuesday With Burial at St. Charles

Mrs. John Cleland of near Winterset died Sunday, Sept. 18 at her home in Scott township. She was 40 years of age.

Mrs. Cleland was the former Dorothy Farr, daughter of Loren and Elizabeth McKinney Farr. She was born in Warren county Sept. 28, 1919, with most of her life spent in Madison county.

She was married July 16, 1939 at Princeton, Mo., to John Cleland, who survives her. She also leaves a son Dwight at home; five daughters, Mrs. Raymond Kooker of St. Charles and Lorain, Donna, Diana and Carolyn at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Loren Farr of Patterson; and three sisters, Mrs. Ralph Wilkinson of Mason City, Mrs. Wayne Nelson of St. Charles and Mrs. Jack Salsbury of Patterson.

Funeral services were held this Tuesday from the Richards Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. William Trembly of St. Charles. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
