MRS. GENE HUSTED Of Truro Dies

Mrs. Gene Husted of Truro died Monday, June 8, 1970, at her home in that community. She was 69 years of age.

Mrs. Husted was a life-long resident of Madison County. She was the former Lois Cathryn Minard, daughter of John and Lucy Anderson Minard, and was born at Truro Feb. 7, 1901. She was married at Winterset on March 1, 1921, to Gene Husted, who survives her.

She was a member of the Truro Christian church, and a member of the Thursday Girls and Truro Garden club. She formerly served on the Truro library board.

In addition to her husband, she leaves three daughters, Mrs. Verna Morford of Dexter, Mrs. Dori Holz of Rippey, and Mrs. Carol Berg of Birmingham, Mich. She also leaves 10 grandchildren; and two brothers, Ralph and Clyde Minard of Truro.

Funeral services were held last Wednesday from the Kale Funeral home in Truro, conducted by the Rev. Richard Hempenius. Burial was made in Maple Hill cemetery at Osceola.
