Ivan Clarke, St. Charles

Graveside services for Ivan D. Clarke, 68, were held July 20 at the St. Charles Cemetery with Pastor Doug Helton officiating. Mr. Clarke died July 17, 1993 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

He was born August 20, 1924 in St. Charles to Willis and Beatrice (Downs) Clarke. He married Maxine Cook April 15, 1956 in Des Moines. He was a retired farmer and former employee of Massey-Ferguson in Des Moines. A life-time resident of St. Charles, he was member of the Masonic Lodge and the Eastern Star Model Lodge and the St. Charles United Methodist Parish. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of WW II.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Maxine of St. Charles; a daughter, Tammy Clarke of St. Charles; and a sister Marjorie Baker of Indianola.
