Lillie Belle Roderick, daughter of John and Malissa Roderick was born December 16, 1863 in Madison county, Iowa and passed from this life March 3, 1932, aged 65 years, 2 months and 17 days.
On February 19, 1882, she was united in marriage to J. W. Reigle of Madison county. To this union five children were born, all living accept one, Alice May who died in infancy. Her husband passed away January 28, 1929.
Sister Reigle spent her entire life in Madison county.
Nearly forty years ago she was converted and joined the Jefferson United Brethren church and remained a faithful member of that church to the time of her death. She was a member of the Eastern Star lodge, Sunnyside chapter # 402.
She was a good woman, a devoted wife and mother and a faithful friend. Though dead, she will continue to speak, the influence of her life will live in the hearts of her children and all those who knew her.
She leaves to mourn, two sons, Ora Reigle of Van Meter and L. A. Reigle, of Winterset, two daughters, Mabel Hazen of Van Meter and Ethel Golightly of Earlham, also two sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Fred Meyers of Van Meter, Mrs. Harry Kent of Winterset, Perry Roderick of Earlham, Eck Roderick of Chicago and John Roderick of Minneapolis, also four grandchildren and other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, March 5th in the United Brethren church. Rev. E. A. Elliot in charge, assisted by Rev. S. C. Peterson of the Methodist church. Interment was at the Jefferson cemetery.

Death of MRS. LILLIE REIGLE
Mrs. Lillie Roderick Reigle died early Thursday morning, March 3, 1932, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Irvin Hazen where she had spent the past three months. She had been in ill health for several years and had suffered several strokes.
She was born in Madison county on December 16, 1863 and spent practically all her life in Madison county. She was united in marriage to John W. Reigle on February 19, 1882. To this union five children were born, one daughter dying in infancy. Mr. Reigle passed away January 28, 1919.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mabel Hazen of Van Meter and Mrs. Ethel Golightly of Earlham; two sons, Ora Reigle of Van Meter and Lloyd A. Reigle of Booneville; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Meyer of Van Meter and Mrs. Harry Kent of Winterset; three brothers, Perry Roderick of Earlham, Eck Roderick of Chicago and John Roderick of Minneapolis.
Funeral services were held at two o'clock Saturday afternoon, March 5th at the United Brethren church in charge of Rev. E. A. Elliott, pastor. Interment was in the Jefferson cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Kent, William Kent and Charles McCleary drove to Van Meter Saturday to attend the funeral of Mrs. Kent's sister, Mrs. John W. Reigle. Ollie and Andrew Roderick of Manhattan, Kansas and J. A. Roderick of Minniapolis were those from a distance attending the funeral.
