NOTA CHACE DIED FRIDAY

Mrs. Frank L. Chace of Winterset died last Friday, Oct 10 at Madison Manor, at the age of 86 years. Mrs. Chace was a life-time resident of Madison county, except for six years in South Dakota.

She was the former Nota V. Stark, daughter of Thomas W. and Nancy Bruce Stark, and was born at Winterset Dec. 15, 1882. She was married to Frank L. Chace at Winterset on Feb. 22, 1905. He preceded her in death on June 1, 1968. She was also preceded in death by a son and a daughter.

Her life was spent in homemaking, but she also worked as a bookkeeper.

She was a member of the United Methodist church.

Surviving are three children, Clarence Chace of Long Beach, Calif., Cecil Chace of Hawthrone, Calif., and Mrs. Beatrice Sorenson, of Avon Lake, O. She also leaves three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Alta Deden of Winterset and Mrs. Letha Larsen of LaGuna, Calif.; and a brother, T. B. Stark of Mt. Vernon, S.Dak.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Everett K. Burham, pastor of the First United Methodist church here. Burial was made in the Chase-McDonald cemetery.
