Loren V. Caudle, Winterset

Loren Virgil Caudle, 75, of Winterset died of cancer Dec. 30, 2001, at Madison County Memorial Hospital.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday Jan. 3, at Winterset Cemetery with Pastor Richard Lamborn officiating. There will be no visitation.

Loren Caudle was born Aug. 18, 1926, in Madison County to Leslie Rudolph and Nina May (Olsen) Caudle. On May 25, 1951, he married Dona Jean Doud in Des Moines. Loren was retired from United Airlines where he had been a reservation and customer service agent. A graduate of Winterset High School, he had been a resident of Winterset for the past 41 years. He also had resided in Des Moines and Milan, Ill. He was a member of American Legion Post 184 and Winterset IOOF Lodge 136.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.

He is survived by his wife, Dona of Winterset; two sons, Scott William Caudle of Denver, Colo., and Mike Caudle of Winterset and one grandson.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset.
